Stone IPA

Stone Brewing IPA. 6.9% abv. 77 IBU. Color was a hazy apricot, reminded me of Hoegaarden. Bubbly brew with a thick head that dissipated in a couple of minutes. Decent retention. Excellent lacing throughout. Aroma of hops, fragrant citrus, mild floral. Front taste was a hoppy burst, balance bitter, citrus rind. Aftertaste of grapefruit, slightly sweet malt, floral hops. Thin body. Mouthfeel was sticky, lingering, slight carb. This is a  great California IPA. Recommended.

From the brewery:

"By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it."
